Cerro Gordo

The year before Covid changed the world as we knew it. Bernt was asked by the owners of Cerro Gordo [a ghost town located at an altitude of 8,000 ft, in California] to help them turn the town into a high-end destination resort. Bernt brought architect Matthew Royce of Santa Monica on board and developed a program that included the resort with an iconic spa, a restaurant, a unique event venue and a number of newly-constructed privately owned cottages. This project is currently on hold.
